Reading Labels for Allergens

Food Shopping for the allergic consumer can be incredibly time consuming.
Ingredient statements and " may contain" warnings must be carefully scanned.
It's always a good idea to check even familiar products in case the ingredients have changed. If the product packaging has changed recently you definitely want to check that the ingredients are still safe.

Be sure to check skin products as well. Cosmetics, lotions, and shampoos can all have allergenic ingredients.
